Easements shall be provided as follows:

(1) Utilities. Easements across lots or centered on rear or side lot lines shall be provided for utilities, where necessary, and shall have a total width of at least 20 feet.

(2) Watercourse. Where a subdivision is traversed by a watercourse, drainage way, channel, or stream, there shall be provided a stormwater easement or drainage right-of-way conforming substantially with the lines of such watercourse, and of such width as will be adequate for both the purpose and maintenance operations. Parallel streets on parkways may be required in connection therewith. [Code 1975 § 6-6.0203.]
