(1) Term of Office. All appointments to the board shall be for three years, except to fill vacancies. Each term shall commence on July 1st, except to fill vacancies.

(2) Vacancies. The position of any board member shall be vacant if the person moves permanently from Ida County or if the person is absent from six consecutive regular meetings of the board, except in the case of sickness or temporary absence from the county. Vacancies in the board shall be filled by appointment of the mayor with the approval of the council.

(3) Compensation. Board members shall receive no compensation for their services. Board members may be reimbursed for necessary and reasonable expenses. [Ord. 500 § 3, 2005; Ord. 488 § 1, 2003; Code 1975 § 5-1.04.]
