For the purpose of this chapter, a “sign” means any structure or medium, including its component parts, which is visible to the public from any part of Highway 59/175, and which is used to, intended to be used to, or actually does, advertise, direct, identify, or attract attention to a business, service, product, subject, idea, premises or thing. The term “sign” includes, but is not limited to, all reading matter, letters, numerals, pictorial representation, emblems, trademarks, inscriptions, patterns and billboards, whether affixed to or separate from a building.
