(1) It shall be unlawful for any consumer of water to do any of the following:

(a) Fraudulently misrepresent in the application for water service as to the property or fixtures to be supplied or use to be made of water;

(b) Fraudulently fail to report to the municipality additions to the property or fixtures to the supplies or additional use to be made of water;

(c) Fraudulently tampering with meters, meter seals, service or valves, or permitting such tampering by others;

(d) Establishing connections, cross-connections or permitting same of a separate water supply to the premises which receive municipal water with the intent to fraudulently avoid payment for water service.

(2) Anyone convicted of fraudulent use of water as defined in this section shall be guilty of a simple misdemeanor and shall be fined $100.00 plus surcharge and court costs. [Ord. 399 § 3, 1987; Code 1975 § 6-1.0306.]
