The following activities are prohibited on the trail at any time:

(1) Motorized vehicles of any kind, except for:

(a) Maintenance vehicles authorized by the city of Ida Grove,

(b) Vehicles with a maximum speed of less than 10 miles per hour; provided, that both the vehicle and the driver have received a permit from the city clerk to operate the vehicle on the trail. The city clerk may issue permits for the use of handicapped or physically infirm individuals. The permits will cost $1.00 each and are valid for one year, and

(c) Vehicles and drivers that receive written permission from the city clerk for a special event on the trail, but only during the day of the event;

(2) Use or carrying of loaded pistols, rifles, shotguns or other firearms;

(3) Hunting of any type;

(4) Cooking or fires of any type;

(5) Camping or erection of any permanent or temporary structures of any type;

(6) Blocking the trail or unreasonably interfering with the use of the trail by other persons;

(7) Establishment or maintenance of any hazardous or unsafe conditions on the property; and

(8) Destruction of any portion of the trail, or structure along the trail, including signs, benches, exercise stations, toilets or nature buildings. [Ord. 448 § 1, 1995; Ord. 433, 1993; Code 1975 § 8-6.04.]
