Starting at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, and ending at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022, golf carts, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and utility terrain vehicles (UTVs) that are specifically designated as RAGBRAI official vehicles by the Ida Grove RAGBRAI committee are allowed to operate upon city streets and grounds. This code section also lifts the requirements for the golf carts, ATVs, and UTVs to be street legal, as long as they are for official RAGBRAI use.

Starting at sunrise and ending at sunset on Sunday, July 24, 2022, IGMCC 10.65.040 will be temporarily suspended. This suspension will allow residents to drive on city streets with golf carts, without the restriction of heading to or from the golf course. This temporary suspension does not apply to any other state or city laws or ordinances including the requirements of the golf carts to be street legal. [Ord. 609, 2022.]
