The rate for carrying one person between any two points within the city limits shall be $0.40 and for each additional person, $0.15. Taxi operators may submit proposed rate changes in writing to the council on the first day of June each year. The council may approve the proposed rate or reduce it; the council must act within 30 days or the proposed rate shall become the approved rate. [Code 1975 § 7-4.14.]
