The ordinance codified in this section shall be effective upon passage and approval by the governing body of the city of Ida Grove, Iowa, publication, and approval by the majority of the electors of the city, voting thereon at a city election called for that purpose. In addition, the ordinance codified in this section shall not be finally effective until an acceptance in writing has been filed with the city. [Ord. 392 § 6, 1986; Code 1975 § 7-3.0306.]
