15.10.080 Abatement by rehabilitation or by petition for title.

(1) The city may abate an abandoned and/or unsafe building by utilizing the authority of abatement by rehabilitation or by petition from the city for title as specified in Sections 657A.1 through 657A.10 of the Iowa Code. Furthermore, the city hereby adopts by reference Sections 657A.1 through 657A.10 of the Iowa Code as required by Section 657A.10 of the Iowa Code.

(2) Petition by City for Title to Abandoned Property.

(a) Section 657A.10B of the Iowa Code is hereby adopted by the city of Ida Grove, Iowa.

(b) The city of Ida Grove may utilize Section 657A.10B of the Iowa Code in lieu of the procedures in Sections 657A.1A through 657A.10 of the Iowa Code for all property contained within the city limits.
