IDA GROVE CITY CODE
A Codification of the General Ordinances
of the City of Ida Grove, Iowa

This article may be cited as the charter of the city of Ida Grove, Iowa.
The form of government of the city of Ida Grove, Iowa, is the mayor-council form of government.

The council and mayor and other city officers have such powers and shall perform such duties as are authorized or required by state law and by the ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations of the city.
The council consists of two councilmen elected at large and one councilman from each of three wards as established by the city code, elected for terms of four years.

The mayor is elected for a term of four years.

The clerk shall keep an official copy of the charter on file with the official records of the clerk, the secretary of state, and shall keep copies of the charter available at the clerk's office for public inspection.
